Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway
Treat your family to a high-rise adventure far above the everyday hustle and bustle! You’ll all enjoy fantastic trip up to the 10,378-foot crest of the Sandia Mountains, where you can have a snack or meal as you survey the gorgeous view.

Fishing at Tingley Beach

Hiking Rinconada Canyon Trail
This 2.2 beautiful loop trail located near Albuquerque features wildflowers in the spring and is good for all skill levels. Heavily trafficked, the trail is accessible year-round and a great place to get away from it all with the family! Be sure to pack water and sturdy hiking shoes.

Hot Air Balloon Rides
Spend your morning or evening taking a private hot air balloon ride with experienced pilots! Your family will move effortlessly with the winds above the Rio Grande and the city of Albuquerque. Bandelier National Monument
Take a step back in time and visit Bandelier National Monument, where you can find petroglyphs and evidence of human presence going back over 11,000 years. Lots of outdoor activities, including wildlife watching (from squirrels to mountain lions), hiking and camping.

National Museum of Nuclear Science and History
This museum provides your family a window into the past, present, and future of nuclear science. Inside and outdoor exhibits, with a nine-acre area for plane buffs complete with planes, rockets, missiles and cannons.

Kids in an Escape Room? It’s doable, according to NM Escape Room. It can be a great bonding experience to have them help you collect clues and solve mysteries. Each of the scenarios are designed with different levels of difficulty, whether it’s Super Secret, Bombshell or Duel at Dusk.
