Fall Sports Near Rio Rancho and Mariposa

Go team! Fall is the time for many youth sports in the Rio Rancho area. We found countless opportunities for kids to take part in athletic leagues near Mariposa and registration is now open for many of them. Studies show participating in youth sports provides both immediate and long-term benefits for kids, including increased physical activity and health, improved academic potential, ability to face and overcome challenges and development of social and community bonds. Check out the six resources we found below and find the right fit for your young athlete.

It’s important to continue checking the websites and social media for the most up-to-date information as youth sports and schedules fluctuate. Also, be sure to check the schools close to your home for sports opportunities as well as City of Rio Rancho, which offers sports classes for youth who may not quite be ready for a more advanced league.

Rio Rancho Youth Sports Programs

Located in Rio Rancho at Cabezon Park, this program offers youth soccer, flag football and baseball for ages 3-14 years old. Coaches and instructors provide age-appropriate, quality instruction that’s both fun for kids and convenient for busy families. Soccer League for Fall 2022 begins 9/10/22.

Rio Rancho Pop Warner
Rio Rancho Pop Warner is a new cheer and football organization in Rio Rancho. They offer affordable, safe, but competitive cheer and football to ages 5-14. Season starts 8/1/22.

City of Rio Rancho
The city offers soccer and golf classes, among others, for youth less than 11 years old who may not quite be ready for a league. Check back for updated fall list.

Rio Rancho Kids Guide
The Rio Rancho Kids Guide lists many sports, including soccer, football, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and cheer. Complete the Sports Programs Planner Form on the website to directly email the Sports Programs Providers matching the sport you specify. They will send you their detailed information directly.

New Mexico Young America Football and Cheer League
The New Mexico Young America Football and Cheer League is the oldest and most respected youth football and cheer organization in the state of New Mexico. They offer programs for all levels of play. The 2022 Fall NFL Flag season starts August 1 and continues through October. Fall Tackle Football season starts July 25, 2022 and continues through October.
Location: Games are held on Saturdays and played at Mesa Del Sol Regional Sports Complex, Bullhead Park and Rio Rancho Sportsplex.
