Sandoval County recommends the following steps:
- Sandoval County Animal Control/Lost Pets – If you’re in need of assistance, immediately contact Animal Control at 505-891-7226. Animals picked up by Sandoval County Animal Control officers will be listed on the site. Click on the individual animal to view detailed information such as where it was picked up and its current location.

- Post flyers in the neighborhood. Continue to post flyers throughout your neighborhood and the neighborhoods nearby. Include a picture of your lost pet and a phone number for them to contact you.
- NextDoor – Join the NextDoor online community to access important information in your neighborhood, including lost and found pets.
