Mariposa begins Construction on New Commercial, Mixed-Use Neighborhood
25 Lots for Twilight Homes in Mariposa under construction with Butterfly Holdings
Real estate investment and development company Mariposa East, LP, an affiliate of Harvard Investments, Inc. has announced Twilight Homes will soon begin constructing new models in their newest neighborhood, The M @ Mariposa. This 2-acre parcel will include a commercial area as well as 25 new Twilight homes. The Mariposa master-planned community is found in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, just 30 minutes north of Albuquerque.
“We are gratified Twilight Homes is building an additional neighborhood and beginning construction soon of their new model,” stated Tim Brislin, vice president for Mariposa East, LP. “Twilight’s homes have been in high demand here at Mariposa and with near sell-out of their existing neighborhoods, it’s great that this high-caliber builder continues to be part of our growth.”
The neighborhood is under development by Butterfly Holdings, a subsidiary of AMREP. The area was zoned for mixed use which allows single family, multi-family and commercial uses. The homes will be one and two-story homes. With the infrastructure nearly complete, Twilight anticipates starting to build a two-story model this month. Twilight offers a single-story plan that is 1,808 square feet and two 2-story plans that are 2,582 square feet and 2,732 square feet.
These brand new plans are ideal for those looking for a worry-free, low-maintenance style of living. The Mariposa community includes a Silver LEED-certified Residents’ Community Center, indoor and outdoor pools, Fitness Center, movement studio for yoga and other classes, kitchen and social area, community park including various ball courts, playground, ramadas and picnic areas, and renowned monumental sculptural art.
Mariposa, just outside picturesque Rio Rancho, New Mexico, includes a large portion that will never be developed. The Mariposa Preserve, owned by The Albuquerque Academy, and consisting of 2,200 acres of dedicated open space is adjacent to Mariposa, and is protected in perpetuity.
