Sandia Peak Tramway

The Sandia Tram takes passengers from 5,000 feet elevation up to the 10,378 ft. crest on top of one of the most beautiful peaks in America. At the top there is an impressive panoramic view of 11,000 square miles.
The tram is open from Wednesday-Monday, 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. and requires an online ticket purchase. The ride is 15 minutes long and is full of breathtaking views and great insight from the informative tram operator. Upon arrival at the top, there are opportunities for hiking, perusing the gift shop, a ski area and dining, all to be enjoyed with the stunning views of the city below.
Once passengers are at the top, they are greeted with over 100 hiking trails. Each one accesses the majesty of the Sandia Mountains. Be sure to buy or bring snacks, water, and warm clothes, as the temperatures at the top are generally 20-30 degrees cooler than the city below. Plan to spend time at the top hiking, taking pictures or bird watching. Another option is to hike up and take a relaxing tram ride down.
Due to the stunning views 10,300 feet above sea level, the newly-remodeled TEN 3 restaurant provides dinners with one of the most incredible dining experiences America has to offer. TEN 3 offers divine appetizers, cocktails and entrees, all to be enjoyed with the backdrop of the mountains.

In the winter months the ski area is the place to go for avid adventure seekers. You can explore 25 miles of perfectly groomed slopes and trails all while surrounded by the beckoning beauty of mountain views. The ski area encompasses three chair lifts, two surface lifts, and is great skiing at a family-friendly price.
Looking to host a group outing at the Sandia Tram? Groups of any size are encouraged to ride the tram, and discounted rates are even offered to groups of 20 or more. Whether it be a group for a corporate, tour, educational or private event Sandia Peak Tramway welcomes you.
There may be extended wait times as the tram is operating at 75% capacity to be in accordance with COVID safety practices. Masks are required inside the tram cars and buildings. The TEN 3 restaurant is open with limited indoor seating. *Continue to check the website for updated procedures.
